Auditions for 13 the Musical at Playhouse 1960, Dec. 12-13

13 the Musical, by Jason Robert Brown

Press summary, from its Broadway premiere:

Evan Goldman has it all — he’s popular, has the perfect family and lives in the greatest city in the world — New York. That is until his parents get divorced and he’s forced to move with his Mom… to Indiana. Uprooted from his old life, he has to make new friends and somehow maneuver his way through the minefield of High School to become part of the ‘in-crowd.’ A grown-up story about growing up, featuring the only all-teenage cast ever to hit Broadway!

Band members:
Auditioning for band members ready to ROCK!
One of the great things about this show is the music. We are looking to cast our entire band with teens. Who knows how to rock better than them? If you or someone you know would like to audition for the band, please see the special auditioning times and information. If you play an instrument and would like to audition for a role too, you can do both! We will have opportunities to perform on stage as well as in the band on alternating days if cast in both areas. If you know someone who would love a chance to show off their skillz, pass this along!

Auditions:
Auditions will be set up in slots of 5. You will be asked to sing, dance, and possibly do a cold reading from the script. You do NOT have to sing, but you must sing to be considered for a principle role. We are looking for dancers as well.

You may be called back if needed later in the day.
